My Funny Valentine

It's been a LONG month since last I've posted.  I have much to blog about.  For starters, the day after my last post, we had our baby boy Henry!  We were at the hospital for the c-section 4 days, during which time the older boys caught colds.  We returned home (and did our best to quarantine) but were only there for about a week when Henry caught RSV and was hospitalized for a collapsed lung.  Yikes.  I stayed in the hospital with him for 5 days.  While we are still currently doing breathing treatments with him, he is doing much better and no longer has that terrible cough.  We just now celebrated Henry's 1 month birthday with a yummy cookie party.  Here are some photos from the party...  He is so cute!

BTW, the paper 3D hearts were super easy to make!  The idea came from one of my favorite blogs - How About Orange.  The cookies were also easy and really yummy.  Find the tutorial here.  I used the Martha Stewart recipe for royal icing and it tasted amazing.

Thanks for reading!

Oh Yes Ma'am!

Who is that cute baby on the Martha Stewart website right now?!? Yep. That's my Oscar! Hooray! My idea was at the end of today's Martha Stewart Valentine's Day show. What a complement!

I took this picture of Oscar when he was only 4 months old. How fun to get to relive him as a baby. Oz was pretty mad when we watch the show together today, though. Since we took these pics of Charlie last night, Oz thought that it was baby Charlie on TV and not him! Jealousy, here we come. Here are some more pics of Oz as cupid.

My Funny Valentine

Well, I just couldn't help myself. I took special "first holiday" pictures of Oz, so I just had to do Charlie's too. What kind of mom would I be otherwise?!? I've decided that these HAVE to be done during Oscar's nap time, though. If not, I end up wanting to poke BOTH kids in the eyeballs. Trust me - I fought hard for these few pictures. I promise that I took over 200 shots and ended up saving about 15 of them. That I got even one was a small victory, though. Woo buddy.
