Happy Turkey Day!

So, I didn't make another turkey costume for Oz. I know that was not received well last year. But come on... It was stinking cute. And Oz didn't mind. (He might later on, true.)

I chose another route this year - something that I can preserve and keep forever. See, I'm sentimental that way. I saw the idea on Wee Wonderful's blog and fell in love... (She has an Oscar, too!) Here is my end result. You like?

The gingham one is for me and the other is for Tim's amazing grandma who is hosting us this year. I can't wait to give it to her! Can I just say that it was crazy hard tracing the hand of an ACTIVE 14 month old. And sewing up something this tiny was no walk in the park either. (There is a reason I don't make doll clothes.) Anyway, happy turkey day. Hope all ya'll are stuffing your faces with something delicious today and that you are surrounded with family who love you even if you unbutton that top button on your jeans after dinner.
