Well, it's been a busy week and the weekend will be even busier, so I'm gonna post a felt concoction that was actually my very FIRST of the whole bundle. In essence, my first fruits. Haahaa. (I know, that was pretty dweeby.)

Anyway, this was the first felt food I ever attempted. It was originally supposed to be an apple. I printed out a template online off of someone's free blog tutorials (I forgot where I found it, of course) and sewed it up and was instantly dismayed. At that point, I had just done the red body of the apple. I showed it to the hubs and told him that I made him a squished apple. He thought that it looked more like a tomato and voila! He was right! It SHOULD have been a tomato all along. So I made some greenery for the top and it became a tomato. Moral of the story: reinvent purpose. Or like Tim Gunn says, "Make it work."

(And we can argue later about whether a tomato is a fruit or a veggie.)
