Party Animal

As I struggle to catch up from last Saturday (Charlie's first birthday party), I will give you a taste of what we've been up to this past year of Charlie.  I'm a firm believer that baby's first birthday is more about celebrating the survival of the parent - and we were proud to survive - so we really went all out.  Can't wait to show you the pictures, reader.

For now, check out how we've celebrated Charlie on his "monthly" birthdays... We've held a fun themed picture party for him every month, complete with whoopie pie treats.  (We did this for Oscar's first year, too.  He was my cupcake boy, though.  He is still wild about cupcakes - mostly the frosting, but you know how it is.)  I'm not sure which theme was my favorite, but these were seriously fun. 

I know what you are thinking, reader.  You are thinking "Why on earth did you not post these throughout the year?" Well, I guess I was just busy.  Sorry about that.  I had two boys each going in different directions.  Not that anything has changed with the craziness of my household, but at least now I have a better grasp on survival methods with two children.
