Quotable

Waiting requires patience -- a willingness calmly to accept what we have or have not, where we are or where we wish we were, whomever we live or work with. To want what we don't have is impatience and mistrust of God. A spirit of resistance cannot wait on God. It is this spirit which is the reason for some of our greatest sufferings. It is here and now that we must win our victories or suffer defeats. Spiritual victories are won in the quiet acceptance of ordinary events, which are Gods 'bright servants' standing all around it. Peace does not dwell in outward things, but in the heart prepared to wait trustfully and quietly on Him who has all things safely in His hands. Can I not then wait patiently? He will show me the way." Elisabeth Elliott

This is a quote that really speaks to my heart today.  (The woman who wrote this quote has an amazing story too - she is one of my spiritual heroes.  We even named our son Charles Elliot after the Elliott's.)  Anyway, Tim and I have been having a hard time waiting for answers about a few things lately.  We haven't had much peace this whole past year.  If you are of a praying nature, reader, we'd appreciate some.  I know God has plans for us and he knows where he wants us.  It's the waiting game that really bites.

Elisabeth Elliott is one of my heroes too - extraordinary wisdom. I don't really know ya'll that well, but you're four of my favorite people and in my prayers.

You know we will! Love you guys so much and can't wait to see what God has in store for you. I think the waiting will always be one of the hardest things. No matter what, the Tudors are here for you - near or far! Xoxo
